Zentech and Jana Marine Celebrate Launch of Ultra-Shallow Draft Jack-Up Barge JANA 506

Zentech Inc., a Houston-based marine engineering firm, proudly announces the successful launch by Jana Marine Services (JMS) of the self-elevating jack-up barge JANA 506. The launch represents a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the two companies and is built upon Zentech’s advanced Z-210 Type-C customized design platform.
Her sister vessel, JANA 507, is currently in advanced stages of launch preparation and is expected to follow shortly.
Both vessels were designed under a basic engineering contract awarded to Zentech by Jana Marine Services, a leading offshore marine services provider based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The JANA 506 and JANA 507 are self-propelled, self-elevating jack-up barges, designed for ultra-shallow draft operations, with a transit draft of just 2 meters, a rare capability for vessels of their size and class.
This feature enables operations in extremely shallow waters, expanding access to offshore fields previously considered out of reach for conventional jack-up barges.
The JANA 506 and JANA 507 are built to meet the highest standards of oil majors and classification societies. Each unit is equipped with a full suite of ABS notations, including:

The Zentech Z-210 design includes hull, living quarters, helideck, cranes, thrusters, legs, and spud cans—providing JMS with a comprehensive, purpose-built solution tailored for high-performance offshore support in the Arabian Gulf and beyond.
