Zentech has recently joined hands with eleven other partners and DNV GL so as to work together on a Joint Industry Project (JIP). The JIP is based on a Recommended Practice (RP) issued last year due to maintenance and inspection challenges of a Jackup systems. All the partners have expressed a positive outlook and strongly believe that collaborations of this sort is what’s best to face the challenges of the current market. Zentech is very proud to be part of this collaboration.

American Society of Indian Engineers and Architects Scholarship

The American Society of Indian Engineers and architects (ASIE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a network for engineers and architects of Indian origin in the Greater Houston Metropolitan area. ASIE assist members in advancing their careers and brings together entrepreneurs to facilitate a strong business network through educational seminars, workshops and networking events.

The foundation of Zentech’s business was built on hardworking, well-educated and bright engineers. In an effort to aid the next generation of talented and accomplished engineering and architecture students, Zentech sponsored a scholarship for the ASIE Scholarship Program, established in 1998. A total of eight students received scholarships this year, of which one student, perusing a Subsea Engineering Degree, received the Zentech Scholarship. The Scholarship presentation ceremony was held November 6, 2015.

Zentech signs LOI to build two MOUs

CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited, received a Letter of Intent on September 23, 2015, from Zentech Incorporated of Houston, Texas, USA for the building of two (2) Z-210 Mobile Offshore units.

The Z-210 is a self-propelled, self-elevating, DP-2 capable, ABS Class, 4-legged mobile offshore unit capable of operating in water depths of up to 280 feet.

Mr. Ramesh Maini, President and Founder of Zentech said, “this will further strengthen the relationship between Zentech and CSSC; where three (3) Zentech design R-550D Jack-up Drilling units, capable of drilling in up to 400 foot water depth, are being built.”

Mr. Chen Zhong Qian, Chairman of CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., said, “CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., is pleased to add yet another unique Zentech design mobile offshore unit to our already vast and expanding portfolio of new builds.”

AOD Exercises Options for Two R-550D Jack-ups

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Alliance Offshore Drilling (AOD) exercised options to build two additional Zentech R-550D jack-up rigs at CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard (HPWS) in Guangzhou, China. The contract was signed to further strengthen an already successful relationship between AOD, HPWS, TSC and Zentech Inc (Zentech); and further display the continued positive market response received for the first R-550D rig, AOD1, which is currently in the final phase of installation and commissioning at HPWS.

June 2015 R-550D Jack-Up Construction Update

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Zentech is pleased to provide these construction photographs that confirm the progress at the CSSC-Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, of Hull H-6001 of the Zentech R-550D jackup drilling rig. The photos were taken from March – June, 2015.

By reviewing these photos, interested parties may observe the current stages of the construction process that includes jacking systems for jack-up rigs by TSC, helideck assembly, drill floor area foundation, derrick observations and jack-up rig afloat.

The on-schedule progress of this jackup drilling rig is another example of Zentech’s dedication to complete client satisfaction, by working closely with both the shipyard and with the rig owner, Alliance Offshore Drilling (AOD).

Zentech Lands Contract with the Brazilian Navy

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Zentech’s President Ramesh Maini announced today that the Company has been awarded a contract to perform a comprehensive inspection and evaluation of the hull steel for the Naval Aircraft Carrier Sao Paulo, as part of the Brazilian Navy’s upgrade of this flagship vessel.

Zentech will perform the work using the patented methodology of its ZAIMSTM (Zentech’s Asset Integrity Management SolutionTM) system to assist the Brazilian Navy in assessing the sea-worthiness of the vessel’s hull. The initial work involves corrosion inspection, condition evaluation and detailed analysis of the carrier’s hull integrity, including the creation of 3D models to accurately map the results of the vessel’s hull gauging for further detailed analytical work, and ultimately providing recommendations regarding steel replacement. Beyond Phase One, Zentech will provide ongoing assistance to the Navy through a five-year maintenance support contract.

James Cook, Managing Director of Zentech do BrasilTM in Rio de Janeiro, said the work will be primarily performed by personnel from the Rio facility, augmented by other Zentech offices as needed. Zentech is currently performing similar work for Life Enhancement on a number of offshore drilling rigs for major drilling contractors, and has recently completed similar work for 63 PEMEX production platforms.
